Born in Linares, he fell in love with the cuisine thanks to his aunt Luisa, a self-serving seamstress. He carried out his studies in Cordoba and at 19 years old, he got first-hand experience of gastronomy in Tragabuches (*), Ronda. He kept training and cooking for other great restaurants at the time and travelled to get to know other gastronomies of the world. In 2015, Álvaro launched the Argos Restaurant, where he won his first Michelin star in only two years. In 2018, he is proclaimed champion of the “Cocinero del Año” contest, the best chef of the year on a national level. The very same year, he is also awarded as the Best Chef in Mallorca. In 2019, he launched his most personal project, Voro, winning a Michelin star in only 7 months after its opening. Álvaro creates a free-spirited cuisine, committed to his roots and memory, taking inspiration from the environment, where the Mediterranean has a presence in every step.

As a young Cantabrian from Laredo, Diego studied at the Hospitality School in his city, where he completed a master’s degree in Hospitality Administration/Management. Diego developed his career trajectory in cities such as Madrid, Mallorca, Santander and London, where he had the opportunity to work in different projects as part of multi-functional and multicultural teams, enriching his knowledge and shaping his customer service perspective. In 2017, he met Álvaro at the Argos Restaurant (*) in Port Pollensa, where he worked for two years before embarking on a new adventure in the United Kingdom. After this experience, Diego returned to Mallorca in 2020 to lead the Voro team. His ability to manage and create, and his attention to small details, make Diego the perfect host.

Cordoban by heart and birth, it was María’s grandmother Kika who aroused her passion for cooking. She carried out her studies between Cordoba and Málaga, and after conducting an internship in Choco (*), next to chef Kisko Garcia, she became part of his team. Her curiosity and desire to learn led her to travel to Brazil, where she worked for a year, learning the gastronomy of the country. In 2016, she became Álvaro´s right hand as a part of the Argos team, where they receive a Michelin star together, and María won the “Cocinera del año” best chef of the year award in 2018. The following year, she moved to Voro with Álvaro, where they continue their professional career. Maria brings elegance, delicacy and passion to Voro's team.

At 26 years old, this Basque decided to go to Madrid to complete his studies and start working in La Posada del León de Oro, where he learned a different kind of hospitality than the one he had experienced until now, and where gastronomy and great service play a very important role. It is at this point where his interest in this field grew rapidly, which led him to put aside his studies, in order to completely devote himself to the hospitality industry. Two years later, he became a professional in the Madrid Chamber of Commerce, where he studied Restaurant Management and Sumillery. His training began at this point, as he developed as a professional in various flagship restaurants such as Club Allard (**) in Madrid, where he briefly worked with Diego, who later offered him the Sommelier position at Voro, along with Álvaro Salazar and his team.

Sela was raised between the flours in the family bakery. After studying Bakery and Confectionery, and following several years of her professional career, she arrived at the Celler de Can Roca (***) where she works as Head Pastry Chef. After this experience, she met Álvaro, with whom he initiated several gastronomic projects. It was in 2017 when Sela became part of the Argos Restaurant team, in order to take over the bakery and the sweet side in the restaurant. Along with the rest of the team, they started the Voro project, in which their work became even more prominent. In 2020, Sela received the award of the Best Pastry Chef in Mallorca by the Balearic Gastronomic Press. Her zest for life comes from the noble art of kneading and baking.

Born in Mallorca but with Andalusian roots. He realised that cooking was his passion while playing with his grandmother Andrea's kitchen. He began his cooking studies in Sóller, where he had the opportunity to travel to Lyon to do his internship. In 2018 at the IES Juniper Serra, where he completed a Higher Degree in Kitchen Management, he made his first contact with the VORO team in the former Argos project (*) where he did his internship and after realizing the importance of the small details, the discipline and the depth that can be behind the simplest of recipes, he became part of the team, in 2019 he moved to Voro. In 2021 he was the winner of the first Sóller red prawn cooking competition. Raúl brings to Voro creativity, joy, enthusiasm and retrospection.

Born in Vilafranca de Bonany, Mallorca. At the age of 18 he travelled to Barcelona where he began his studies in Food Science and Technology. In 2015, he returned to Mallorca and continued his training in the Higher Degree in Kitchen Management. In 2017, he did an internship at the restaurant Argos (*), with Álvaro Salazar, with whom he discovered his passion for haute cuisine. At this point he joined the team and in 2019 they moved to Voro where they started their new project. Before the start of the 2020 season, his interest led him to the Hyatt Regency 5* GL in London, where he worked for two months as a chef de partie. At the end of this experience, he rejoined the team again until today. Joan brings commitment, discipline and coherence to Voro's kitchen.
